Hip hop icons to rock the mic at Art of Rap Festival

Legendary hip hop event, SiriusXM Backspin Presents The Art of Rap Festival, will return to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center on Saturday, June 17, with an all-star lineup. Fans can take a trip back in time with anticipated acts from artists such as Ice-T, KRS-One and Big Daddy Kane.

Tickets can be purchased at www.Ticketmaster.com and dlvec.com and start at $10 plus applicable fees. The show will begin at 8 p.m.

Following Ice-T’s critically acclaimed 2012 documentary “Something from Nothing: The Art of Rap,” the successful rap festival has played to massive crowds all over the country. Commemorative to the documentary and past festivals, the program will include Ice-T, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, ONYX, DJ Chuck Chillout and Lovebug Starski.

Located at the corner of Third Street and Carson Avenue across from the D Las Vegas, the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center can accommodate up to 11,000 guests and features state-of-the-art stage, sound and lighting.
